In this post, I shared a basic crochet cup cozy pattern for a quick and easy cup cozy. These make great gifts for teachers and friends and offer a handmade touch to a gift when you don’t have a lot of time.
I promised to share some other options that are easy to create and look great too! Here are some options for that basic crochet pattern I shared and then some of my favorite patterns from other blogs.
Add a Button or Motif
This is that same basic pattern with a cute button added. You could customize this with any type of button or item that could attached with yarn. I used a cute button I found at the local craft store. You could crochet and attach a motif too, like a heart or flower.
This is a great way to customize the pattern for sports fans or to include school colors for a gift for teachers or students. I used the two colors of one of our local schools. I also took out one row to make it a little smaller. You can so easily adjust the size of these cozies, just add rows or take them out or add or remove a stitch if it needs to be looser or tighter.
You can also use these color options for special charities and put your crochet to a good use. I have seen many donated for charities or to charities to sell. The colors can represent the charity and you could add a pin or ribbon to the front easily.
Use a Multicolored or Variegated Yarn
This is another way to change things up without having to learn a new pattern. Just find a cotton yarn of choice and go for it. The yarn does the work for you and you just get to enjoy the results.
