Christmas Pom Pom Wreath Instructions
Step 1 – Make your Pom Poms
Make 6 of each pom pom type. Use two colors for the extra large pom poms and one color for the medium green size.
*Time Saver Tip – when making the single color pom pom, use yarn from both ends to double wrap the pom pom maker…it will go so much faster than wrapping a single yarn strand.
Here is how to use the pom pom maker….they come in all sizes and all work the same way.
Step 2 – Form your wreath shape
Take your standard coat hanger and untwist the top. Now bend the sides until you have a ring shape.
If you purchased a wreath ring, unfasten it so that you can slide the pom poms onto the ring.
Step 3 – Add Pom Poms to Ring
Just slide the pom poms in order onto the end of the hanger. Straighten the end of the hanger if you need to and make sure you are sliding through the center of the pom pom.
Step 4 – Add some rubber bands to hold pom poms in place
Add rubber bands between each pom pom to help them stay in place and not slide around. Just take a rubber band and tie it on the ring. The yarn will hide the rubber bands and they help to hold the pom poms in place where you want them, but are easy to move as needed.
Step 5 – Fasten the ring together, fluff, and hang!
take the ends of your hanger and twist them together behind the pom poms at the top. This is not precise and you are just looking for them to stay together and give you a hanging surface that is not seen from the front.
Fluff up your pom poms, hang, and enjoy your new creation!
