Crochet Table Runner - This project is quick and easy for beginners to crochet! Crochet|Yarn|Christmas #crochet #yarn

I love the holidays and decorating my house. I love reds and golds and all the warm Christmas colors. However, I also like quick and simple when it comes to decorating. I want it to look cute, but not take me hours and hours to get it to look good. This year, I wanted to use a burlap table runner as part of my decor, but once I put it out, it just looked too plain. So, I decided to whip up this super quick Christmas crochet table runner. You can adjust this one to make it as wide and long as you want for your table. I also decided to throw a few tassels on the end just to add a little fun to the ends hanging over the end of the table.

My materials:

  • Redheart With Love Premium - Holly Berry
  • K hook (6.5 mm)

The Pattern

Stitches used -
ch-chain
sc-single crochet

Chain to the size you want (use a multiple of 4 stitches + 3  (add 3 on your base chain to make the foundation)  Example - 24 stitches (6x4) + 3 = 27 - add 3 to the first chain, so chain 30.

Row 1:
1 sc into the 6th ch from the hook (so you have 5 ch stitches on that loop)

Ch 5, skip 3 ch, 1 sc into the next ch

Repeat to the end, turn

Row 2:
Ch 5, 1 sc into the next chain 5 arch
Repeat to the end, turn

Rows 3+:
Repeat row 2 until you reach the length you want
You will want to block this to spread out all the holes to see the pattern well.

Making a tassel
Use the same yarn or another color to stand out. I like to make the tassel using this tool.

You just follow the instructions in the kit and it takes about 2 minutes to make the tassel. Super cute and super simple!
