Ready for some easy and fabulous filet crochet patterns? I have gathered over 15 great crochet patterns that use the filet crochet technique and all of them are free!

Filet crochet used to just be used for lace doilies and table runners. Modern crocheters have found new ways to use filet techniques to create style without complex techniques.

Filet is just a way of creating an opening in your stitches to create a pattern that shows up when you look at the project.

As you can see from the patterns below, there are so many ways that you can create a design just by leaving holes in your crochet!

Let’s get started making something using the filet crochet technique! I just know at least one of these patterns would be great as your next project.
